Our Journey Began in 2018
Our story unfolds in 2018 when our visionary founders, Juhani and Joona, joined forces to pioneer a new era in podcast production. One of our earliest projects, the ”Tunnelin Tekijät” (”The Makers of the Tunnel”) podcast, played a pivotal role in accelerating the debate on the Helsinki-Tallinn tunnel project. Another milestone in our journey is Danske Bank’s ”Taloudellinen mielenrauha” (”The Economic Peace of Mind”) podcast, which has become one of our longest-running and most successful productions. The podcast demystifies personal finances and explains savings and everyday money matters in a concise and clear manner.
What Sets Our Podcasts Apart?
Our podcasts share a common goal – not just top-notch production quality, but we also want to achieve measurable results. Whether a business-focused branded podcast, an entertaining show, or a commercial partnership with a popular podcast, we strive to create podcasts that actually meet their goals and obtain engaged listeners.
Expanding Our Horizons
Our journey took us from branded podcasts to original series, like the true-crime hit ”Tositarinoita Kakolasta” (”True Stories from the Kakola Prison”). Original series are podcasts exclusively commissioned by a podcast service, such as Storytel, Podimo, Naudio or Yle (the National Broadcasting Corporation in Finland).
We’ve also localized and translated numerous successful international podcasts to cater to Finnish audiences, such as ”Murha Pohjolassa” (”Murder in the North/Mord i Nord”) and ”Ratkaisemattomat” (”Unresolved”). Today, we produce original series for both the Finnish and international markets, available on platforms such as YLE, Storytel, Podimo, Supla, Naudio, and Svenska YLE.
Partnerships with Independent Podcasts
We’re proud to work with independent podcasters, taking care of their commercial partnerships. In this capacity, we plan and produce episodes in close collaboration with both the commercial partner and the podcasters themselves. Often, an expert from the partner, whether a CEO, a researcher, or an industry expert, takes the role of a guest speaker. We also specialize in producing host-read pre-roll adverts. Our portfolio includes some of Finland’s most popular podcasts, such as Futucast, #neuvottelija, Psykopodiaa and Puheenaihe.
A Global Leap in 2023
In 2023, we proudly became part of the Swedish PodX Group. This prominent global network comprises leading podcast production studios from around the world, including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Great Britain, France, Argentina, Mexico and the United States. Our mission is to export successful Finnish podcasts to the global audience and to adapt interesting formats to our Finnish partners.
Nordic partnership deepens
In 2025, the Nordic companies under the PodX Group merged, forming a new Filt Nordics unit. For us, the merger is the next step in internationalization and even closer Nordic cooperation.
We have already successfully exported Finnish podcast formats to other Nordic countries, such as the Storytel original production “Jesus Likes Skinny Girls” published in Sweden and Denmark, and “Morden vid Bodomsjön” published in Sweden.
In the future, the goal is to export more Finnish expertise and storytelling to global audiences and bring international expertise to our customers in Finland – in addition, there may be co-productions with foreign production companies. Stay tuned!
